Make Video on the Great Walls Today(Dec.14,2002)

This morning,we all got up very early and we drove to Tiananmen Square for the beginning of the video about the Great Wall of China Marathon.

In order to show the morning of Beijing,we choose the flag-raising at the Tiananmen as the beginning. It is winter in Beijing now,so today the flag rasing time was 7:28 a.m. Beijing Time.We were excited so we went there about 30 minutes before the time.It was cold(about 0 degree centigrade),but we felt so well.

After about three hours driving we got to Simatai Great Wall, after the greeting exchanges with the top leaders of Simatai,we began to climb the Great Wall.

The GWCM 2003 will start from Jinshanling to Simatai, but we did the video filming from Simatai. The reservoir was already frozen, and the small snow is weaving in the air.The small lower tree branches were ice-capped.The landscapes really looked extremely beautiful. The temperature there might be -4 degree centigrade. To our surprised,we saw more tourists there today.

On the Great Wall, we have seen the overseas tourists from Japan, from England, from Germany and from Australia. We are happy that we had a small talk with them. The real file below is from our 50 minutes video made today.Below is a dialogue with tourists from Australia. The file is 2017K and the time is 45 seconds

The video will be made into VCD next weekend. We believe participants will know much and love the Great Wall of China Marathon well from our website, from our brochure and from our video soon.1,000 Chinese participants are looking forward to running with friends from all over the world on May 1,2003.
