2003 Great Wall of China Marathon (October 1,2003)

Opening Ceremony Speech

The long-expected 2003 Great Wall of China Marathon has come today.

The Marathon lovers all over the world are paying attention to us.

From this year, we have set up the Japan Office of Great Wall of China Marathon, and we also have had our marathon envoy Ms. Yamamoto Yoshiko.

The sweat and the names of everyone will be forever recorded on the history of Great Wall of China Marathon.

We firmly believe that more and more participants worldwide will come to the Great Wall of China Marathon on May 2,2004.

Photo 6. Running starts now, men are always on the front. Mr.Takahashi is the oldest participant this year down there. He flies to Beijing on September 30 from Xiamen, a city in southeast China.

Photo 7. The man in the front in this small group is Mr.Shi Hongtong. On October 3,2002,he is one of the first two applicants among over 1,000 participants for the 2003 GWCM. The second man Mr.Yang Ningyu is the No.1 runner in 2002 GWCM.
